China's spot prices for flat products ended the week higher while the reverse was true for longs.

Healthy transactions and lower stock levels gave commercial-quality HRC (4.5-12mm) HRC an upward push, with prices of the product rising 30-50 yuan per tonne for the day to 3,910-3,950 yuan ($621-628) per tonne. The prices are 110-120 yuan per tonne higher than a week earlier.
