Brazil's iron ore exports to China, EU rise in October

Brazil's exports of iron ore to China rose 38.3% year-on-year in October, taking their share of the total to more than half, according to customs data from Brazil.
Shipments to China rose to 17.88 million tonnes in October, from 12.92 million tonnes in the same month last year.
Total exports rose to 32.64 million tonnes, from 27.8 million tonnes, meaning China's share of the total rose from about 46% to 55%.
Other destinations Iron ore exports to the European Union rose by 20.4% in the same comparison, from 4.74 million tonnes to 5.71 million tonnes.
Shipments to the Japanese market, however, fell by 32.7% year-on-year in October, totalling 2.53 million tonnes.
